On-Ice Tests
Skating Agility & Speed
Center ice to blueline, to other blueline, and back to center. Measuring acceleration and agility in both directions.
Stickhandling - Bolt Sports Dangles™
Stickhandling through the dangle that lights up next - get through as many as possible in 30 seconds.
Shooting Accuracy
Hit as many targets as possible in 30 seconds. Cannot hit the same target twice.
Off-Ice Tests
Squat
1 Rep Max Back Squat to test lower body strength.
Bench
1 Rep Max Bench Press to test Upper Body strength.
Clean
1 Rep Max Power Clean to test full body power and strength.
Pullups
Maximum number of pullups to failure to test full upper body strength and endurance.
Pushups
Maximum number of pushups to failure to test upper body strength and endurance.
Pro Agility
Similar to on-ice test, a sprint of 5 meters in one direction, 10 meters back in the other direction, and 5 meters back to the starting point. Tested both ways for acceleration, agility and speed.
Cycle Sprint
Using the Airdyne bike to establish peak power production as well as fatigue drop in 30 seconds, to simulate a shift in hockey and to test power and endurance.
Standing Long Jump
Longest horizontal jump from a standing still position, to test lower body explosive power.
